Pet owners urged to plan ahead for boarding as facilities fill up during holidays

Like many aging people, senior pets sometimes require special care. The first thing that comes to mind for me is assistance with stairs or jumping onto or off furniture.

Things like ramps are great and affordable ways to make beds and furniture more accessible to your pet.

They may also begin to struggle in dim or poorly lit areas and so investing in night lights may make it easier for your pet to navigate in the evenings or early mornings.

The other important part of senior pet care, just like with people, is annual or twice-yearly visits to your vet for a physical and once yearly senior bloodwork.

Be sure to talk to your vet about their recommendations for aging pet care.
